TRUMP IS USING DEMOCRAT’S TAXES TO PREVENT THEIR BALLOTS FROM BEING COUNTED.

Neil Baron

The nauseating shame here is that Trump and his enabling Republicans just don’t want Americans to choose their President and are using Democrats’ taxes to criminally block their votes are crimes.

Trump:

  • Tried to block more than 20,000 ballots in California, where Democratic voting is among the highest. He falsely claimed that those voters were not citizens. It violates 18 U.S.C. § 241 — Conspiracy against voting rights.
  • Repeated his violation in Nevada. But  there, officials found that all the contested voters were citizens. Still, he violated 18 U.S.C. §§ 241 and 242: Intentional interference with protected voting rights and willful deprivation of voting rights under color of law.
  • Threatened election workers with prosecution and prison if they didn’t comply with his demands to disqualify voters he falsely claimed were ineligible. A federal judge ordered the administration to stop its threats, citing evidence that they had caused citizens to withdraw from election-related activities out of fear of being wrongly targeted. He violated 18 U.S.C. § 594 — Voter intimidation. Unlawful intimidation affecting voting rights and conspiracy to interfere with those rights
  • Deployed hundreds of investigators to improperly question thousands of naturalized citizens, including at their homes, and demand that state election officials deny ballots based on flawed eligibility data. He violated 18 U.S.C. § 242 and § 594: Willful deprivation of constitutional rights and intimidation intended to interfere with voting
  • A law suit was filed to stop Trump from threatening to imprison California election officials if they counted ballots Trump claimed were cast by noncitizens. Violated 18 U.S.C. § 241.

Criminal intent couldn’t be more evident because Trump:

  • Knew the targeted Democratic voters were eligible but sought to exclude their ballots anyway.
  • Chose jurisdictions based of their high Democratic voting.

Democratic voters should be outraged that their taxes are being used to prevent their votes from being counted so Republicans can keep the Trump-enabling  majority in both chambers of Congress. The evidence is glaring:

  • Trump’s stated tactic was to us false claims of ineligibility.
  • His stated mission was to cancel ballots in Democratic-leaning areas.
  • Targeted voters were disproportionately registered Democrats or lived in heavily Democratic precincts.
  • Comparable tactics were not evident in Republican-leaning jurisdictions.

The Congressional Republicans are complicit in committing the crimes cited above. There’s compelling evidence that they joined Trump in his attempts to block Democratic voting or prevent the counting of their ballots. Specifically, the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced it was sending election monitors to 17 states to challenge their security procedures. The RNC also sued an Iowa county to allow it to gain illegal unfettered access to the county’s election security practices in order to find fault  with them. But the county’s rules on election security forbids this unlawful tactic.

In September, the RNC began a training program for its election observers in Wisconsin to raise flags about the state’s voting machines.

The nauseating shame here is that Trump and his enabling Republicans just don’t want Americans to choose their President.
