Trump pardoned the founder of a crypto firm who pleaded guilty to money laundering and then invested $2 billion in World Liberty Financial, Trump’s first crypto venture. He appointed pro-crypto officials to crypto regulatory agencies and had his Justice Department disband its crypto crimes task force. Trump’s Truth Social platform is going to allow bettors to place wagers on the outcomes of elections, sports games and other events. The new venture will be a partnership with Crypto.com, that has donated millions to Trump causes. Trump’s is demanding, and will undoubtedly receive, $230 million of taxpayer money from his captive Department of Justice as compensation for the federal probes into his conduct in trying to stop the counting of electoral votesThe president entered into at least nine deals with the United Arab Emirates, including its governments, which will pay Trump $500 million in 2025 and $50 million annually thereafter. A crypto firm in which the Trump family owns a 60 percent stake sold a $2 billion stablecoin to the UAE sovereign wealth fund managed by a Sheikh. Two weeks later, President Trump allowed a company controlled by the same Sheikh to import a large quantity of American AI computer chips which had been banned from export. Trump accepted a $400 million luxury jet from Qatar. Trump’s companies are building over 20 overseas projects, in countries where he negotiates treaties and trade deals. He withdrew our troops from Syria against military advice in order to allow Turkish President Erdoğan annihilate the Kurds who fought along our soldiers to defeat ISIS while Trump profited from Trump Towers in Istanbul and a $400 million investment by a Turkish family. China awarded Ivanka Trump seven trademarks and loaned $500 million to a resort featuring Trump-branded properties when Trump lifted a bipartisan Congressional ban against selling parts to ZTE – a Chinese company — for spying. The Kuwaiti embassy switched its National Day celebration from the Four Seasons and to the Trump International Hotel in D.C under pressure from Trump. Trump bragged that the Saudis paid his businesses of hundreds of millions of dollars. Then, against bipartisan demand, refused to punish Saudi Arabia or its Crown Prince for the murder of American journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Trump vetoed bipartisan legislation blocking an $8 billion arms sale to Saudi Arabia and then proceeded to make the sale. Citing hundreds of millions of dollars the Saudi’s paid his businesses, Trump asked mockingly, “Am I supposed to dislike them? I like them very much.” What’s more pathetic and humiliating is that Trump has the contempt to degrade his office, mock his responsibilities, and disregard its importance to Americans and as a leader of the free world. Instead Trump’s disgraced our country in front of the whole world. Sadly, the only possible saviors are the spineless Republicans who have sacrificed their constituents and all of America to keep their seats. |
